Long Beach, Sandy Bay
Long Beach Park & Boulevard
Nutgrove and Long Beach in Sandy Bay have forever been a popular place with the locals. You'll see them launching their kayaks at dusk, walking their dogs around the point, or sitting near the water's edge with delicious wood-fired pizza available just near the car park. Not too long ago the area received a significant makeover, so there's now undercover barbecue facilities (no booking necessary), and a fantastic walkway along the beachfront. For the children, there is plenty of play equipment and if you want to get some sand between your toes this is a convenient and easy place to do so right near the centre of town.
